For Investors
What happens when the world is
only designed for those with sight?
Let's look at gaming...
LIMITED INNOVATION
Gaming graphics have vastly improved over time, while controllers and tactile outputs have not! (Think, have controllers been innovated past buttons and joysticks?)

Games are graphics oriented, yet the world around us is made up of so much more! Is there a new dimension to gaming?

EXCLUSION
According to the World Health Organization, there are
285 Million
visually impaired people in the world, and many are being excluded from gaming
TRY IT: close your eyes and use your smartphone. What is your experience?
Traditional video games have limited and inadequate accessibility settings for the visually impaired
Audio games are typically not played by sighted people, which deters many visually impaired people who want to play with sighted friends
“Finally it clicked. It wasn't that I sucked at games. It was that games sucked for me.” - Richard Harlow, visually impaired gamer
The Solution

The BuzzBox (by Immersia)
01 / UNIQUE AND UNMATCHED

-
A gaming device with a one-of-a-kind "tactile screen"
-
User places hand onto the grid of vibrating motors pictured to the left of the joystick
-
Game outputs are indicated from various patterns and combinations of vibrating motors
- Games have detailed audio cues from speaker or headphone jack
-
For example - if the user is playing a maze game and walks into a wall on the left, motors on the left will pulse
We appeal to the sighted demographic looking for a fresh new gaming experience, while our focus on tactile and audio cues will make us accessible to the visually impaired.
Immersia Online Gaming
02 / CONSUMER-FOCUSED FROM THE START
-
Consumers can test out the audio component of Buzzbox games online for free (games are modified to be played without the tactile component)
-
The site advertises the Buzzbox, for users to try out the games with a unique tactile screen
-
New games will be developed based off of online player data

“When there’s something that everyone has in common, that’s something that bridges people together, and that’s the awesome thing about video games.” - Richard Harlow, visually impaired gamer

We are a group of electrical engineering students with a combined range of club experiences - from building drones to electric motorcycles, we have the technical knowhow.

Our generation grew up on playing video games, so we cannot wait to share them with a new demographic.
